  • Cutting Dovetails – Learn with Vic

    Cutting dovetails by hand looks harder than it is. In this two-hour demo, Vic Tesolin walks through the method he has used for years, start to finish.
    He covers layout, marking gauges, and sawing with a saw guide to keep the cuts square and consistent. Then comes chopping the waste and paring to a fit that closes with hand pressure alone. Vic shows where most people go wrong and how to fix a gappy joint without hiding it.
    No fancy kit. A few good tools, sharp edges, and a repeatable process.
    Attendees leave knowing why dovetails work, how to cut them cleanly, and how to do it again tomorrow.

  • Sharpening Your Tools – Learn with Vic

    Vic Tesolin has spent years refining a sharpening routine that works, and in this two-hour demo he shows exactly how he does it. He starts with grinding the primary bevel, then moves to a honing jig to set and polish the microbevel.
    No power grinder? He covers that too, with practical ways to get a solid primary bevel using hand methods. Vic also walks through how the Tormek sharpening system works and where it earns its keep.
    Sharp tools make better work, and better work is more fun. You’ll leave knowing what to do at the bench, and why it matters.
